I created this series of Leader Performance Visualisations knowing that some people might wonder how somatic work fits into leadership. These practices offer a window into the embodied side of my coaching, the part that helps leaders work with their nervous system, not just their thinking.
This short animation is a small window into the kind of moments that shaped the Leader Performance Visualisation series, everyday scenarios where breath, attention, and leadership insight meet. It’s a taster of the somatic approach I use in my coaching practice.
The series includes eight short visualisations (8–15 minutes each), designed to give you a felt sense of what breathwork, grounding, and embodied imagery can unlock when applied to leadership insight and performance planning.
In team coaching, there are moments when a more didactic approach is needed, but there are also moments when leaders need space to sense an insight rather than analyse it. These visualisations create that space. They offer a quiet pause where micro‑leadership lessons can be absorbed and processed.
Traditional leadership development often focuses on the conceptual and the cognitive. My work has always held the view that leaders are whole people — physical, emotional, relational, and that their bodies often know things long before their minds catch up.
We’re now halfway through the series. Each visualisation draws on the embodied methods I use in executive team coaching: the subtle, nervous‑system‑level shifts that help leaders notice what’s happening before it becomes behaviour. Many people experience versions of this on retreats or away days, but these sessions are more intentional. They link breath, body, and leadership insight in a way that reflects the full breadth of my practice, creative, academic, and relational.
The series explored themes such as:
- Boundaries & Calm
- Clarity
- Courage
- Reflection
- Belonging
All eight titles are listed below.

If these themes resonate with you or your team, you can explore the full playlist here:
I’d love to hear what lands for you, whether you’re a leader, a coach, or someone who’s experienced somatic work in organisational settings and is curious about a more thoughtful, integrated approach.
More visualisations are on the way. Let me know which one you liked the most.
